Yes, I missed a WHOLE WEEK. Following my return from Manitoba, I spent the last week catching up on my life at home, along with getting some much-needed sleep. I honestly didn’t see the sense in pushing it and I’m glad I didn’t.
So, yesterday morning (Sunday), I crawled back on the fitness bandwagon and did my 35-minute TRX workout again. Yes, it was difficult; really difficult, actually. But, it felt great to move and, though I’m a bit stiff and sore today, it felt good to know I can actually get back on track.
In the past, if I lost a week of exercise, I might have just given up altogether. This time, I found myself thinking about why I started this whole renewed commitment to getting strong and just shook off that feeling of defeat.
In fewer than two weeks, I’ll be modeling in a fashion show. I’m not expecting miracles by then, but it would sure be good to have a bit more energy, feel a bit stronger and walk with a bit more spring in my step!
Two more workouts by Saturday is the goal for this week. No excuses!
